According to a press release from Fond du Lac County Sheriff, Mick Fink, Fond du Lac County Judge Richard Nuss signed a Temporary Restraining order preventing the Wisconsin Department of Health Services from placing a Sexually Violent Offender in the Town of Eldorado.

Fond du Lac County Executive Allen J. Buechel, Fond du Lac County Corporation Counsel Meggin R. McNamara, as well as Sheriff Fink petitioned the order.

The sheriff said he feels compelled to enforce this restraining order as it is in the best interest of the citizens of the Town of Eldorado as well as Fond du Lac County.

According to the press release, Sheriff Fink said Washington County Judge Andrew Gonring has chosen not to hear the Town of Eldorado motion for a “Temporary Restraining Order.” Fink said that left them with no other avenue to but to petition a Fond du Lac County Judge.

Washington County Judge Gonring will hear the Town of Eldorado “Motion to Reconsider” on December 8th, 2016, at 2:15p.m.

A bus is transporting interested citizens to the hearing in Washington County free of charge. The bus will be leaving the Eldorado Town Hall, located at W9218 County Highway N, at 12:30pm. Contact Earl Degner at 920-922-2571 to reserve a seat.
