The Shawano-Menominee Counties Health Department reports an outbreak of a bacterial illness called Shigella. The illness causes diarrhea, fever and abdominal pain.
Health leaders say the cases have been connected to several daycare centers and the Hillcrest Primary School District.
Those diagnosed with the illness are undergoing treatment at this time.
