Police in Green Bay are doing their part to raise breast cancer awareness. For the month of October, officers will be wearing pink badges. They were purchased from the Ribbon of Hope Foundation which provides financial, informational, and emotional support for breast cancer patients in Northeast Wisconsin.

Officer Steve Mahoney says this campaign is personal. His wife survived the disease.

"After what she went through, I was trying to think of ways that I could raise awareness for breast cancer awareness, and I thought what a better way than to wear a pink badge as the badge is the symbol of our department."

Green Bay officers will proudly wear the pink badges during October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
