On Friday, March 17, Green Bay Police officers investigated a retail theft at Pick 'n Save at 1819 Main St.

Loss Prevention staff reported a woman filled up a cart full of food and left the store without paying for it. The woman fled the store and was not located. In the investigation, Pick 'n Save loss prevention provided photos of the woman suspect with the hopes of someone identifying her.

On Monday, off-duty Captain John Laux was at Pick 'n Save and recognized the woman from the still photos that were circulated amongst the department. The woman again filled her cart and left the store. Laux stopped the woman in the parking lot and she attempted to get away. Laux was able to detain her as a third party called 911. Officers responded and took the woman into custody.

The suspect is identified as a 55-year-old Oneida woman, who will be charged with her seventh offense retail theft and had 11 outstanding warrants that total about $14,000.
