Green Bay man pleads 'not guilty' in fatal 'hit and run.'

The 32-year-old Green Bay man arrested in December after police say he crashed into another vehicle, killing the driver, was in court Tuesday.

Juan Zuniga plead 'not guilty' to two counts, the first a felony count of 'hit and run involving death and the second for resisting/obstructing an officer.

On Wednesday, December 7th, the Green Bay Police Department responded to a call of a single vehicle rollover crash about a 100 yards off the road in heavy grass in the Northbound lane on highway 43, just south of East Mason St.

When police arrived they found a man dead inside the vehicle.  Police identified the victim as Michael R. DeGrave. The vehicle, which was a blue Kia, had damage to its rear bumper and trunk area. Police say there was a red paint transfer which included red paint transfer which police believe came from a different vehicle.

Officers found a series of letters and numbers etched into the bumper from the contact of the from the contact of the unknown red vehicle, later determined to be an Audi sedan.

Police sat the numbers were run through the Department of Transportation and a local name of Juan Zuniga, with a Green Bay address, was discovered. Green Bay officers say they immediately began looking for Zuniga. He was arrested shortly after in the village of Bellevue.
