The former boyfriend of a woman murdered last year is now facing charges of domestic abuse involving the woman's sister.

Douglass Detrie was arrested last year, but never charged, for the murder of his then girlfriend Nicole VanderHeyden.

Now, Detrie is charged with Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, False Imprisonment and Disorderly Conduct from an incident that allegedly happened in February involving VanderHeyden's sister.

VanderHeyden's sister was living with Detrie to help care for her sister and Detrie's child, according to a criminal complaint.

Court documents said Detrie allegedly touched the victim in a sexual manner while the two were driving in Allouez and she told him to stop. He also allegedly would not let her leave the car.

Statements also allege Detrie was physically abusive towards her in the past.

The Fond du Lac County District Attorney has been named the special prosecutor for this case.

Detrie is scheduled to be in Brown County Court June 1.
