The victim has been identified as Delores T. Groy, 82, who lived in the home.

At at 10:42 a.m. Tuesday, Marinette County Dispatch received a call from a passerby that a house was on fire at W7781 Highway Z in the town of Beecher. Pembine and Amberg Fire Departments were dispatched as well as sheriff's personnel.
After the fire departments were able to extinguish the fire, the remains of an elderly woman were located. Two dogs also died in the blaze.
Marinette County Coroner George Smith responded to the scene and an autopsy has been scheduled. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The incident remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, Pembine Fire and Marinette County Coroner.
