Police provided extra security Tuesday at Appleton West High School. The added police presence comes after a student discovered a handwritten threat on Monday.

Officers searched the building Tuesday morning and found nothing suspicious. Classes were held as normal.

Investigators do not believe this incident is connected to the automated phone call threats made to numerous Wisconsin schools on Monday. In that case, schools in Appleton, Green Bay, Manitowoc and the Town of Algoma received calls saying a bomb would go off. Schools across the country received those robo calls on Monday. The FBI is now investigating.
