Olympics Derail Almost Everything Else on TV
NEW YORK (AP) -- Here's a TV trivia question: What was the most-watched prime-time program last week that had nothing to do with the Olympics?
The answer: A repeat of the CBS drama "NCIS."
Otherwise, NBC's Olympic coverage thoroughly dominated TV last week, with ratings beyond what NBC expected. The only network not significantly affected by the Olympics was the Spanish-language Univision, where fans of the nightly telenovelas stuck with their favorites.
The Olympics also gave a big boost to NBC's "Today" show and "Nightly News."
