Investigators are trying to piece together what led to an officer-involved shooting at a downtown Appleton bar.

So far, 33-year-old Henry Nellum of Oshkosh faces Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and other charges.

According to Outagamie County District Attorney Carrie Schneider, it all started when Nellum and another man got into a fight.

Two people tried to break up the fight, according to the criminal complaint. That's when you can see on video, according to Schneider, Nellum pull out a gun and shoot the other man.

However, court documents do not say how Jimmie Sanders, the man shot and killed by Appleton Police, was involved.

"It's like putting a puzzle together where sometimes once we talked to someone once, we might have to go back and talk to them again based on new information that we have, so they're in the process of completing all that as well as identifying all the people who were in the bar," Schneider explained.

Schneider said they've sent DNA samples to the crime lab and are waiting on test results.
