De Pere City Council voted Tuesday night on how to spend their share of the Brown County stadium tax revenue.
The city received $1.2 million of the excess tax.
Among items getting the green light: funds for establishing a city vision and brand, money for a public arts initiative, and a streetscape project.
"Well it was a long process, but we got through it," says De Pere mayor Mike Walsh. "We got some debt reduction put in, also, which is what a lot of people in the community wanted. And we're looking forward to be able to do some of the projects that come forward."
The largest item was a $300,000 splash pad.
In all, $1.3 million dollars of funding was approved.
