Alleged Supplier To Antigo Teacher Charged
ANTIGO (AP) - An alleged drug supplier to a former Antigo teacher and coach is facing 50 charges. Thirty-four-year-old John Hunter is due in Langlade County Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon on charges of manufacturing cocaine and the marijuana chemical THC. A criminal complaint alleges Hunter was selling drugs in Wausau, Antigo and Bass Lake and also allegedly supplied Scot Peterson, a former Antigo teacher and high school football coach.
So far, 15 people have been charged as a result of a drug investigation that prosecutors say includes teachers from Antigo and Merrill. Langlade County Sheriff William Greening tells WAOW-TV the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
