Drop in Wisconsin Unemployment
MADISON, WI - Wisconsin's unemployment rate dropped last month but that did not stop the private sector from taking a hit.
Our state's unemployment rate fell from 7.3% to 7.2% in December. However, Wisconsin did lose 3,900 private sector jobs, making December the sixth straight month of private sector losses. The State Department of Workforce Development says Wisconsin has added nearly 14,000 private sector jobs in 2011 overall.
