Hundreds showed up at a citizen-held town hall meeting in Green Bay on Thursday night, but there was only empty chair. It belonged to Senator Ron Johnson.

"He hasn't set up one in person. We asked him to do that, we've asked him repeatedly to do that, and it hasn't happened, so that's why we set up some on our own," said M.E. Dejonge-Benishek

At the Green Bay library, citizens organized their own town hall on his behalf. The topics of discussion were mostly about the Trump administration, specifically questions about the future of the Affordable Care Act.

"There's seemingly little talk about actually what's going to replace it, and recently there's been so much talk about repairing the Affordable Care Act which is fine, but there's little indication about how that's exactly going to happen," said Sumner Truax.

A couple traveled from Ellison Bay with many questions since President Trump took office.

"I'm concerned about not seeing Mr. Trump's tax returns. I think we need to have an independent investigation to the Russian deal," said Mike Brodd.

Senator Johnson held a teleconference last Thursday.

His office says more than 7,000 people from the state called in.

His staff says a similar event is planned for next Thursday, March 2.
