City of Green Bay receives 27 applications for excess stadium tax money

Green Bay city leaders release the final list of applicants that are hoping to get a portion of the excess stadium tax money from the Lambeau Field renovation project.
 
In August, the City Council voted to give $1 million of the $5.4 million Green Bay received to economic development projects. 27 organizations filled out applications in hopes of receiving the money.
 
The Green Bay Finance Committee will make its final recommendation to the City Council in mid-October.
 
These are the organizations that have filed an application.
 
**Green Bay Botanical Gardens - $250,000 for an expansion project.
 
**Grassy Island Range Lights Inc. - $247,885 for a long term, stable base for the historic Grassy Island Range Lights in the Green Bay harbor.
 
**Green Bay Sail & Paddle - $150,000 to expand opportunities for area youth and families.
 
**Kroc Community Center - $50,000 for a musical playground.
 
**Red Smith Neighborhood Association - $180,000 for the installation of bathrooms at Red Smith Park.
 
**Green Bay Neighborhood Council - $50,000 to enhance programs.
 
**Rotary Club - $12,500 for the clock at Cherry and North Adams Streets.
 
**National Railroad Museum - $250,000 for phase one of their expansion and enhancement project.
 
**Eland Electric - a Greener Green Bay - $250,000 for a community solar project.
 
**Whitney Park Neighborhood Association - $17,500 to install decorative lighting at Whitney Park.
 
**Children's Museum - $250,000 for enhancements.
 
**Auto Gallery - $98,600 for an interactive mobile application.
 
**CP Center - $25,000 for a building enhancement and expansion project.
 
**Historic Preservation Revolving Loan Fund - $100,000 to $200,000 for a revolving loan fund that can be used for renovations to historic buildings.
 
**Military Avenue BID District - $50,000 for a gateway entrance at Lombardi and Military Avenues to improve access to the business corridor.
 
**City of Green Bay Economic Development - $350,000 to capitalize a revolving loan fund to help grow businesses in the city.
 
**City of Green Bay Economic Development - $150,000 to complete the overhaul of the city's website.
 
**Downtown Green Bay and Olde Main Street Inc BID districts - $50,000 for business development, physical improvements, events and marketing.
 
**Green Bay Habitat for Humanity - $120,000 for a twin home project on the corner of East Walnut and Baird Streets.
 
**Green Bay Baseball - $1,000,000 for an outdoor event center that seats 3,500 people.
 
**Brenda Staudenmaier - $1,000,000 for water line replacement.
 
**Strike a Cord - $100,000 for summer musical weekend events.
 
**Green Bay Public Arts Commission - $250,000 to fund artistic activities and support cultural programs.
 
**Society of St. Vincent de Paul - $200,000 to add a retail outlet store.
 
**House of Hope - $200,000 to expand services to young mothers.
 
**On Broadway - $78,181 for the demolition and redevelopment of public art located on Broadway.
 
**Neighborworks Green Bay - $150,000 for its Farmory project.
