Charges filed in series of armed robberies

Six felony counts of armed robbery were filed against 24-year-old Phillip A. Thomas of Neenah today in Winnebago County court.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's office says they expect to charge a man with six counts of armed robbery.

The suspect, 24-year-old Phillip A. Thomas, of Neenah, currently remains in custody after being taken in for a probation violation June 17. 

During each of the robberies, the suspect displayed a handgun and targeted cash and cigarettes. 

The sheriff's office says the robberies were at the following spots. 

 

BP Gas station on Commercial St, City of Neenah on May 26th and June 3rd

• Neenah BP Station on CTH O, Town of Neenah, Winnebago County on June 2nd

• BB Convenience Center on American Drive, Village of Fox Crossing on June 8th

Bay Area Citgoon Main St, City of Neenah on June 10th and June 16th

 

The sheriff's office worked in hand with the Neenah Police department, and Village of Fox Crossing Police department. 

They say that witnesses and tips from the community provided crucial information that helped investigators in identifying Thomas.
