CDC recommends teen athletes get baseline concussion tests

The start of the upcoming school year also means the start of fall sports. Trainers urging parents to have their student athlete get a baseline concussions test. The CDC recommends athletes take on of these tests every 2 years. "It's basically going to take their current knowledge and abilities and use that as a score to compare to in the event that they sustain a concussion," said Athletic Trainer Danielle Lueck. 

The test takes only 20-45 minutes. Check with your health provider to see if they will give baseline tests at no charge.
