Green Bay Police and Metro Fire Department responded to an accident this evening when a car slammed into a building on the 1400 block of Main Street on the city's east side. Officers had to extricate the driver a man who was taken to the hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known, but police report he was conscious. His car was demolished in the crash. The building suffered cosmetic damage to it's exterior. The crash is under investigation.
