3 hurt in 2 crashes in Fond du Lac County

  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office reports three people have been hospitalized after two separate head-on crashes that happened on Saturday.

   The first crash happened just after 4 p.m. on County Highway K near Drumlin Drive in the Town of Ashford.

  Officers report a vehicle traveling southbound on CTH K crossed the centerline crashing head on into a pickup truck.

   Authorities say the driver of the vehicle that crossed the centerline was Kenneth Gudux, 58, of Campbellsport.  He was not wearing a seat belt and was flown to Theda Care regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries.

  The driver of the pickup truck was a 16 year old, who had a passenger, 64-year-old Dennis Wondra.  Both were treated and released at the scene.

  Officers believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

  The second crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. on County Highway M near Gallagher Road in the town of Waupun.

  Officers report a vehicle traveling northbound crossed the centerline and his a southbound vehicle head-on.

  The vehicle that crossed the centerline was driven by a 20-year-old man from Ripon.  The other vehicle was driven by a 62-year-old woman, also from Ripon.

  Both drivers were wearing seat belts and had to be extricated from their vehicles after being pinned in them.

  Officials say alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the crash.

  The 20-year-old man was flown to Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries.  The woman was taken to Waupun Hospital with injuries.
