A 25-year-old woman was found dead in a Crandon residence after police responded to a disturbance involving a gunshot early Wednesday morning.

Savanna Larson, 25, of Lac Du Flambeau appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but the investigation will continue, the Forest County Sheriff's Office said.

Three people inside the residence were taken into custody on charges connected to the incident, including Felony Possession of a Firearm, Tampering with Evidence, Obstruction and Probation Violation.

The initial investigation took longer than normal because of the tampering with evidence and obstruction, officers said.

Around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, the Forest County Sheriff's Department, along with the Crandon Police Department, responded to a report of a gunshot at 200 E Cobb Blvd.

The Department of Justice Crime Scene Response Team is currently investigating the situation.

Police said this is an isolated incident with no danger to the general public.
