Nekoosa Student Charged with Making Threat
NEKOOSA, Wis. (AP) -- A Nekoosa High School student accused of threatening to bring a gun to school to "kill everyone" is charged with disorderly conduct.
Eighteen-year-old Steven Dzieglewicz could spend 90 days in jail if he's convicted. A criminal complaint says a fellow student told a counselor that during an online chat, Dzieglewicz indicated he had taken a gun to school. It alleges Dzieglewicz said he had a way to kill everyone and that he wanted to end it all.
After learning of the threat, the school was locked down Monday and students were sent home.
The Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune says sheriff's officials searched the school, but did not find a weapon.
