A Hilbert man is celebrating a big milestone today. On March first Reuben Ott turned 105-years-old. Today, more than two hundred people gathered at the Hilbert Community Center  to help him celebrate.

Reuben Ott has experienced more in his lifetime than most people.

"I have so many memories. I could talk here for three days," says Reuben Ott.

This includes having eleven children and more grand-children and great-children than he can keep track of. But they all have a special memories of their time with him.

"Christmas eves at his house, because everyone gathers there and it's like a big family," says Sierra Powell, Reuben's grand-daughter.

Today, they're here to make more memories.

"It's an amazing thing. Not many people achieve this. He's surely been blessed," says Neil Ott, Reuben's son.

Reuben had a big birthday celebration when he turned 100 and planned to have one again in five years, so here they are today. Family and friends waited in line to see the man of the hour

"He's been an asset to the community and his family," says Neil.

Reuben is a special 105-year-old. He lives alone and is feeling better than ever.

"I have no problems. I'm feeling better, eating well, sleeping well," says Reuben.

One of his secrets to making it this long?

"Part of it is I never smoked, I never drank any alcohol, and I add this, I never kissed any wild women," says Reuben.

Doctors have asked him if they should try and revive should anything happen and his answer make it clear that he isn't ready to go.

"He says well you can work on me two or three minutes, until you think it won't work, so he's not ready to give up yet. They asked him about ten times. He never would commit," says Neil.

Reuben says there's still too much for him to do and see.
