Suspects in Lara Plamann Homicide Waive Extradition
APPLETON, Wis. -- Two women from Minnesota will head back to Wisconsin and face charges related to the murder of Lara Plamann in 2007.
Kandi Siveny and Rosie Campbell will be transferred to the Outagamie County Jail after waiving extradition hearings in court.
Siveny and Campbell along with Sivney's mother, Dianna Siveny are accused in the shooting death of Plamann. Her body was found in a storage facility on her property in Greenville.
In 2011 prosecutors dropped charges against Siveny and her daughter for allegedly hiring a man to beat up Plamann a year before her murder. The alleged attack wasn't carried out.
After following thousands of leads, investigators are relieved to finally make the arrests.
"A case such as this, particularly homicides where an innocent person is killed, it becomes job one for us to bring whoever is responsible for that action to justice," Captain Mike Jobe said.
The executive director of Harbor House, a shelter for abused women in Appleton, thought this day would never come.
"We've been tracking this case because it looked like it was a domestic violence homicide," Executive Director Beth Schnorr said. "We really felt for the family and are glad the case is moving forward."
Plamann's family released this statement, "We've had our own theories as to what took place that evening, and these arrests have confirmed some of our suspicions."
