GREEN BAY, Wis.-- Edison Middle School sent a letter home to parents outlining two incidents that caused a gun scare.

According to a statement from the Green Bay School System, the first incident happened this morning when two students reported that a classmate had a gun in class. "We handled this immediately with the school resource officer and found it was a toy gun,"  the letter stated. "The student was disciplined and the other students were told the gun was not real."

A second incident happened on a bus after school. Police got a call from a parent who thought a gun was bus #71.  Green Bay police pulled the bus over and discovered the student involved in the morning incident was on board. After a search, officers did not find a gun.
