Former Principal Pleads Guilty to Drug Charge
ANTIGO, Wis. (AP) -- A former Antigo elementary school principal had pleaded guilty to a marijuana manufacturing charge in an agreement with prosecutors.
Six other drug counts against 48-year-old John Lund were dismissed Tuesday in Langlade County Circuit Court.
Lund was principal at Pleasant View Elementary School and was also the football coach at Antigo High School. A criminal complaint says Lund got marijuana from a relative and gave some to Scot Peterson, a retired teacher and former football coach. Peterson earlier reached a plea deal and was sentenced to six months in prison.
WSAW-TV says sentencing for Lund is March 6. He faces a maximum three years in prison.
