Snow Emergencies Declared
APPLETON:
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The City of Appleton has declared a Class III Snow Emergency beginning at 2:00 a.m.
on Thursday, December 20, 2012. A Class III Snow Emergency restricts parking on all
City Streets, 24 hours per day. No special parking permission will be granted by the Police
Department. Vehicles found in violation may be ticketed and towed. This Snow Emergency
will be in effect until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012.
Then beginning at 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, the City of Appleton is
declaring a Class I Snow Emergency. A Class I Snow Emergency prohibits overnight parking
on all City streets. The Police Department will not be issuing any exceptions to the 2:00 a.m. to
5:00 a.m. parking restriction. This Snow Emergency will be in effect until further notice.
Please avoid traveling on City streets (unless absolutely necessary) until the storm ends and all
streets have been plowed. If you do need to travel, do so with caution, leave plenty of distance
for stopping and please keep a safe distance from all plowing equipment.
As a reminder, steep hills, bridges and intersections may be extremely slippery and traffic signals
may be obstructed by snow.

Green Bay Declares Snow Emergency
(Release Date: Wednesday, December 19, 2012)
The City of Green Bay is declaring a snow emergency effective at 3:00 a.m. on Thursday,
December 20, 2012 due to the pending winter storm. The snow emergency is in effect for
all streets within the corporate limits of the City of Green Bay. Snow emergency restrictions
will remain in effect until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, December 21, 2012.
Due to the predicted large snow accumulation and extreme conditions, residents are urged
not to travel unless absolutely necessary. Reduced traffic contributes to resident safety and
allows DPW to do its most effective job at clearing streets. During the snow emergency, the
following restrictions will be enforced:
1) No vehicle can park on any street (day or night) until the snow emergency is over
2) Overnight on-street parking will not be granted for the duration of the snow
emergency
3) Vehicles found parking on-street during the snow emergency will be tagged, ticketed
and towed at the owner’s expense
4) On Friday morning, if your street has been plowed then you may park on-street even
though the snow emergency may still be in effect
Again, the snow emergency will remain in effect until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday,
December 21 unless otherwise announced by the City. All Green Bay residents and
property owners must follow these snow emergency restrictions so DPW can clear roads in
a safe and efficient manner.
Depending on actual conditions, DPW’s storm-fighting strategies may change. If they do,

ALLOUEZ:
DECLARATION OF STATE OF EMERGENCY
VILLAGE OF ALLOUEZ
Pursuant to Wisconsin State Section 166.03(4), the Village of Allouez hereby declares a local State of Emergency for the Village of Allouez beginning 12:01 am on Thursday, December 20, 2012 until 12:01 am Friday, December 21, 2012. This local State of Emergency is declared due to blizzard conditions.
During a snow emergency, all vehicles must be removed from village streets. To ensure that you do not receive a parking ticket and / or towing fees, please keep your vehicle off village streets so that the Department of Public Works can clear the streets of snow as effectively and as quickly as possible to benefit all.

The Town of Grand Chute is declaring 21 snow emergency in accordance with Town
Ordinance 515-4D Snow Emergencies. The decìaration shall take effect at 2:00 AM
Thursday, December 20, 2012 and remain in effect until 9:00 AM Saturday,
December 22, 2012.

NEENAH:
PRESS RELEASE
The City of Neenah has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY effective Thursday, December
20, 2012, at 5:00 a.m. until Friday, December 21, 2012, at Noon. Mayor George Scherck
issued a Snow Emergency Proclamation today.
During this snow emergency, onstreet parking will be prohibited.
This action will allow Public Works personnel to clear snow and allow for movement of
Emergency Vehicles. Any vehicle illegally parked or hampering Snow Removal
Operations will be ticketed and could be towed at the Owner's expense.
