Deal Reached: Charlie Knuth Back in Kimberly District
KIMBERLY, Wis.-- Charlie Knuth will once again receive home bound tutoring through the Kimberly School District according to his Mother Trisha.
Kimberly Superintendent Bob Mayfield notified Trisha Knuth of the news Tuesday afternoon.
Charlie was dropped from the rolls at Kimberly after entering a Minneapolis hospital for a second stem cell transplant to treat a rare skin disease.
Although the family technically lives in Darboy, part of the Kaukauna School District, Trisha Knuth fought to have Charlie re-enrolled in Kimberly where is familiar with the home bound teaching staff.
After a meeting Tuesday Mayfield told Trisha Knuth to enroll Charlie in the Kaukauna district and then he would be eligible to receive home bound teaching from the Kimberly School District. "I'm relieved for Charlie," Trisha Knuth told NBC26 by phone. "He deserves it. and he wants to be a normal kid and in order to be a normal kid he has to be taught just as the other kids are and it's only fair to him. so I"m relieved for Charlie."
Charlie is expected to begin home bound tutoring on Thursday.
