Planned DOT Project Worries Township of Abrams
TOWNSHIP OF ABRAMS, Wis.-- Residents in the Township of Abrams will meet tonight to discuss a planned Wisconsin Department of Transportation project that could impact the small community.
The D.O.T. wants to begin construction on HWY 141 near the township in the Spring of 2014. The highway is expected to be closed for several weeks or months. Abrams business owners say the project will hurt their bottom line.
Tonight's meeting is scheduled for 7:00pm where community leaders will present alternative plans that would lessen the economic impact of the township.
