Manitowoc County investigators make 11 arrests after a drug bust that spanned four counties.
The Manitowoc County sheriff calls it one of the biggest drug busts in Northeast Wisconsin. Close to 70-pounds of marijuana was seized, with a street value of a quarter-million dollars.
The two-year investigation led deputies to the 11 suspects. The sheriff tells us Haley Wagner and Antonio Crayton both from Manitowoc County were the ringleaders. The others involved were arrested in Sheboygan, Calumet and Milwaukee Counties.
Eleven firearms were also seized and more than $200,000.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff tells us if anyone sees suspicious activity in their community, it's important to report it immediately.
"Lot of times when people are involved in drugs they're involved in other crimes, might be burglaries and other things. They might be selling to young individuals obviously you wouldn't want to be hooked on drugs, so they pose a threat to the community,” Manitowoc County Sheriff Robert Hermann said.
If convicted, the suspects face anywhere from five to 40 years in prison.
