Liquor Store Owners Faces Fraud Charges
Two Green Bay liquor store owners charged in a welfare fraud scheme appeared in court Tuesday morning.
Gurnek and Gurdeep Basanti own Beach Road Liquor and are facing felony and misdemeanor counts of food stamp fraud and credit card theft.
Police say the two allowed customers to use Quest Cards to purchase items like alcohol and cigarettes. The Basantis are out of jail on bond and will be back in court on October 18th.
