GREEN BAY, Wis.--Officers with the Green Bay Police Department are warning car owners to lock their doors and take valuables inside after a string of burglaries were reported.

Victims have reported items stolen from their vehicles on Sandstone and Sorenson Drives along with more burglaries on Reed, Oregon and Platten Streets.

According to investigators, prowlers have been reported during the overnight and early morning hours. They are checking for unlocked cars and garage doors in the area.

The department encourages everyone to report any suspicious activity, remove all electronics, garage door openers and electronics from their cars, lock all doors and to keep outside lights on to keep driveways illuminated.

Community service interns will patrol the impacted neighborhoods to help inform people on how not to be a victim of these cases.

Anyone with information should call the Green Bay Police Department or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 920 432-STOP.
