STURGEON BAY, Wis.--35 year old Brian Cooper appeared in Door County Circuit Court and now faces charges of killing a woman in a resort west of Sturgeon Bay.

Deputies say Cooper confessed to killing 21 year old Alisha Bromfield, who was six months pregnant at the time of her death. Her body was found Sunday at Sand Bay Beach Resort. Cooper and Bromfield were in Door County for a Saturday Wedding.

New information from court today reveals Cooper faces two counts of First Degree Intentional Homicide. According to the criminal complaint, Cooper strangled Bromfield and had sex with her body. He faces a Third Degree Sexual Assault charge in addition to the two murder counts.

Cooper remains behind bars on a one million dollar cash bond. He is due back in court on September 5th.
