APPLETON, Wis.--The Appleton Police Department is investigating what officers call a home entry and sexual assault case. The incident happened around 2:50 Sunday morning.

The victim, an adult woman, told investigators that an unknown man walked into her home through an unlocked door and sexually assaulted her at knife-point. The man was then scared away by others inside the house.

Officers are looking for a white man, 30-to-40 years old with short hair and a receding hairline. He was short in height and had a muscular build. The victim said she smelled a strong tobacco smoke odor.
