Former Green Bay Standout Wins Bronze with Canada

COVENTRY, ENGLAND-Former Green Bay Notre Dame high school standout Lauren Sesselmann, a member of the Canadian Women's Soccer Team will take home a bronze medal from the London Games.

Diana Matheson scored in injury time Thursday to give Canada the Olympic bronze medal in women's soccer with a 1-0 victory over France. Sesselmann was born in Wisconsin but gained Canadian citizenship through her father, played collegiately for Purdue from 2001-05, finishing her career with 34 goals and a program-record 22 assists.

Canada will now travel about 100 miles southeast to Wembley Stadium to pick up the bronze after the gold-medal match between Japan and the U.S.
