Radio Station, Local Company Donate School Supplies
GREEN BAY, Wis.--The school year is right around the corner. Parents and students are shopping for back to school supplies. However, those supplies are not affordable for some.
A local radio station, 91.1 "The Avenue", and Appleton based Jansport supplied 200 backpacks stuffed with school supplies for those in need. "Jansport is right in our backyard, right in Appleton. They like the Avenue feel like it's very important to sent kids back to school with the right supplies." 91.1 The Avenue's Shaun Shouldeen told us.
Wal-Mart also donated gift cards so students could buy the supplies they need to get the school year started on the right foot.
