NFL Suspends Packers Erik Walden
GREEN BAY, Wis.--The National Football League has suspended Packers outside linebacker Erik Walden for the team's season opening game on September 9th against the San Francisco 49ers.
In a statement released by the NFL, the league said: "Erik Walden...was suspended without pay for the team's first game of the 2012 regular season for violating the NFL Personal Conduct Policy."
Walden will be able to continue practice in Training Camp and all pre-season games. He will also be eligible to play in the regular season after Skipping the 49'ers contest.
Last February, Walden entered a deferred judgment agreement on disorderly conduct-domestic abuse charges without pleading guilty. Walden spent last Thanksgiving Weekend in jail after a dispute with his girlfriend.
