Republican Candidates Spar on Green Bay Airwaves
BELLEVUE Wis.-- The four republican candidates for U.S. senate squared off in a live debate this morning at the studios of WTAQ radio. Conservative radio host Jerry Bader hosted the event. The candidates took turns answering questions during a two hour debate on Bader's regionally-syndicated radio show.
Former governor Tommy Thompson is taking on businessman Eric Hovde, former U.S. representative Mark Neumann and state Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald in the August 14th primary. The 2 hour debate included discussion about the country's deficit and how each candidate proposes to lower debt.
Eric Hovde and Mark Neumann sparred a couple of times over attack ads on each other and spent time arguing with each other during the debate.
