Major Marijuana Drug Bust in Marinette County
MARINETTE, Wis.--Federal, state and local law enforcement officers served arrest warrants in two Marinette County communities. According to the county sheriff's department, drug agents are destroying what they call a significant marijuana grow operation.
Two were arrested Middle Inlet and booked in the Marinette County jail on drug charges. Two other suspects escaped after a warrant was served in the Town of Athelstane. Investigators do not believe they are armed or dangerous at this time.
The Marinette County Sheriff's Department spent most of the day destroying the Marijuana grow sites which should continue into Tuesday night.
