Prayers for Charlie as Darboy's Charlie Knuth prepares for his second stem cell transplant Saturday. The community gathers together on a group Facebook page hoping for the best.

The six-year-old who suffers from a rare skin disorder was rushed to a Minnesota hospital about a month ago after getting sick again.

Twenty-dollars can go a long way, but when Sara Dougherty Noe saw Charlie's story online she knew that bill would be worth much more.

"I hope he realizes the 20's he gets are for him. It's for being such a fighter, for doing a great job he's been doing all these years. He's certainly earned it,” Noe said.

This week Noe started a mini-fund called "Twenties for Charlie".

“The pictures are heartbreaking in a sense, but if someone that young is willing to fight so hard for his life, then we could all do a little bit,” Noe said.

Others around the community feel the same way. Pictures and prayers are pouring into the facebook group "Prayers for Charlie Knuth".

Dawn writes: "My prayers charlie are with you and your family." While Johanna writes: "I send you the angel of strength..to see you through this beautiful day." And Kelley writes: "You have a whole community of people behind you and your family!"

"Far and wide everyone's praying for Charlie,” Noe said.

Noe now puts her money on Charlie making it through his second stem cell transplant.

"We're all behind him and we're all pulling for him. We can only hope for the best. Hopefully God blesses them all,” Noe said.

Twenty-dollar bills can be donated to Prospera Credit Union in Appleton. The community is also planning an event for Charlie that will be held sometime in the coming weeks.
