Driver Arrested for 5th OWI After Crashing into Squad Car

GREEN BAY, Wis.--The Green Bay Police Department reports the arrest of a man for allegedly driving under the influence for the fifth time.

According to a department release, 32 year old Damien Kindt of Green Bay was booked after he crashed into the back of a squad car on Military Ave and Bond street around 2:00am Thursday. The officer was conducting a routine traffic stop when the incident happened.

Along with a fifth OWI, Kindt was arrested for driving with a revoked license, ticketed for Inattentive Driving, failure to wear seat belt, operating without minimum insurance, and Open intoxicants in motor vehicle.

Kindt was taken to the Brown County Jail. The officer's vehicle sustained moderate damage. No injuries were reported.
