OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin Public Service is working to restore power to 13,000 customers in northern Wisconsin who lost electricity in a second round of thunderstorms in the utility's service area.
WPS says downed trees and branches caused by high winds overnight Monday account for the majority of outages, including 4,300 in Wabeno (wah-BEE'-noh and 3,100 in Eagle River.
Utility crews had just about restored service to 8,500 customers in the Oshkosh area who lost service in the first line of thunderstorms Monday evening, when the second storms rolled through northern Wisconsin.
