"Operation Dry Water"
Green Bay-- Drinking and boating is one of the leading causes of death on the water. That's why extra eyes will be on the bay and on the Fox River, looking for drunk boaters.
It's called "Operation Dry Water." The Coast Guard and local law enforcement are teaming up this weekend. Officers will be educating people on the water and handing out tickets if they need to. While the Coast Guard patrols the Lower Bay, Green Bay police will be on the Fox River. They will be looking for wreckless driving, overloaded boats and making sure everyone has a life vest.
Today, NBC 26 met a local fisherman who knows authorities will be doing whatever it takes to keep the water safe for everyone.
