Wisconsin Lane Closures

(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing US 41 Project lane restrictions for September 10 – September 14 in Brown and Winnebago counties. Traffic impacts in Brown County include a significant traffic shift on WIS 29 between County FF and US 41. Motorists that use this stretch of road are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes. Drivers should to be aware of 11-foot wide lanes and reduced speed limits in both counties. WisDOT urges all motorists to use caution while traveling through any work zone. 

US 41
Winnebago County
WIS 26 – US 45
September 10:
• Right lane of southbound WIS 26, between Poberezny Road and the southbound US 41 off-ramp, closed Monday, September 10 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for access to the work zone.  
• Single lane of northbound US 41, between WIS 21 and US 45, closed Monday, September 10 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. for access to the work zone. 

US 45 – Breezewood Lane
August 20 – September 14:
• Single lane of the northbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 76, closed continuously Monday, August 20 through Friday, September 14 for roadway work on WIS 76.
September 10 – 14:
• Various lanes of north and southbound WIS 76, between Indian Point Road and Green Valley Road, and left lane of the southbound US 41 off-ramp to WIS 76, closed Monday, September 10 through Friday, September 14 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work structure work.

Brown County
Scheuring Road – Oneida Street
September 10 – 12:
• Various lanes of southbound US 41, between Hansen Road and two miles south of Scheuring Road, closed Monday, September 10 through Wednesday, September 12 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for median work. 
September 10 – 12 and 14:
• Southbound US 41 off-ramp to Oneida Street closed Monday, September 10 through Wednesday, September 12 and Friday, September 14 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for ramp widening. In addition, the outside lane of Waube Lane will be closed between the US 41 overpass to the southbound US 41 ramp intersection.   
September 12:
• Southbound US 41 on and off ramps at Scheuring Road closed overnight Wednesday, September 12 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for a traffic switch.

Lombardi Avenue – I-43
September 10 – 12 and 14:
• Various lanes of north and southbound US 41, between Lombardi Avenue and I-43, closed Monday, September 10 through Wednesday, September 12 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday, September 14 from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. for setting temporary barrier wall and bridge work.

WIS 29
September 10:
• Various lanes of east and westbound WIS 29, between County FF and Packerland Drive, closed Monday, September 10 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the WIS 29 traffic switch. 
September 11:
• Various lanes of east and westbound WIS 29, between Sunlite Drive and US 41, closed Tuesday, September 11 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. In addition, various lanes of the north and southbound US 41 off-ramps to WIS 29 will be closed from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. All closures are needed for the WIS 29 traffic switch. 
• Complete closure of eastbound WIS 29, between County FF and US 41, Tuesday, September 11 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. This closure is needed for the WIS 29 traffic switch. The detour route will be County FF to WIS 54 to US 41.

Lakeview Drive bridge
September 10 – 12:
• Various lanes of southbound US 41, between Lineville Road and I-43, closed  Monday, September 10 through Wednesday, September 12 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for demolition of the Lakeview Drive bridge over US 41.

I-43/Leo Frigo Bridge
Brown County  
I-43 at the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge is reduced to a single lane of traffic with speeds reduced to 55 mph in both directions over a 3.5-mile segment of the highway through November 2012. Expect significant travel delays.
