A mystery "Grinch" cut the lights at a Christmas drive-thru.

The display is named, of all things: "Making Spirits Bright."

Volunteers spent countless hours stringing up the lights at Evergreen Park. They set music to the magical display.

With no surveillance cameras, they could not get a grasp of the damage until they tried to turn on the lights.

Dozens of LED strings were cut, worth more than $1,000.

"Had taken a box cutter and lit all the way down through these lines," said Greg Liebig, a volunteer with "Making Spirits Bright" light display.

This vandalism could have created a domino effect. To get in, organizers ask for food donations that go to the Sheboygan County Food Bank.

Volunteers have helped get them back online.

The display officially opens the day after Thanksgiving.

If you know who is responsible for the vandalism, call Sheboygan Police.
