Hundreds in the Fox Valley, taking a stand against government debt. The message is stop the spending. Organizers say this isn't just about Democrats or Republicans, but government in general. Those attending the rally, say it doesn't matter whether you're talking about healthcare or the jobless rate, government spending is getting out of hand.
When Joe Wurzelbacher walked on stage, the crowd cheered. He's known as "Joe The Plumber", the Ohio man who got national attention during the Presidential election. To some he represents the working class, especially those hundreds who sat in Greenville Lions Park signs in hand to listen and take a stand. Kathy Meenk came from Oshkosh to take part in the rally, "What they are doing to our government is not right. We've got to do something."
The bi-partisan crowd is blaming republicans and democrats for the spending crisis, saying their elected officials aren't listening. One democratic congressman says that's not the case. Congressman Steve Kagen says, "I've been listening to everybody not just in my district but across the country, especially when they call or write in." But close to 15 hundrend people are taking it a step further, coming together to make their voices heard. Rally organizer, Jim Steineke says, "People are upset right now they are in fear of their jobs, they are worried about how to fee their kids, put clothes on their families backs." Many say they want to take the government back before its too late.
