Wisconsin Snow Drags
The Copper River Midnight Riders snowmobile club will be sponsoring the second annual Wisconsin Snow Drags on Saturday, January 14, 2012. The snowmobile drag race will be held adjacent to Ed and Sharon’s Restaurant, N1294 State Hwy 64 & 107, west of Merrill, Wisconsin, starting at 10:00am. This is the first circuit race for the 2012 season, with competitors coming from Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. There is over $1500 in prize money with a $500 Top Gun prize. The 500 ft. groomed snow track will be the platform for the following race classes: modified 500, 600, 700, 800, and open; stock 600, 700, 800, and open; 120 cc; and vintage. Classes are subject to change, based on participation. There will also be a Beat Your Buddy race, where you can test your race skills against a friend for $10 per person. Safety equipment and a tether are mandatory to participate in the races. Pre registration is also mandatory by Friday evening, January 13, 2012 @ Ed and Sharon's Restaurant. The banquet hall will be open for warming the body, with food and beverages available for purchase. Admission at the gate is $5 per person 16 years of age and older; children under 16 are free. Monies raised support the maintenance of the trails. Adjacent parking for vehicles is available with a donation, proceeds going to local charities. We hope to see you!
