As part of a comprehensive plan to fight drug abuse in Brown County, the Sheriff's Department is participating in the National Take Back Initiative, sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, by joining other law enforcement agencies throughout the country to collect unwanted residential household medications. The Village of Howard will host one of the prescription drug collections 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 29 in the Community Center (back entrance) at Howard Village Hall, 2456 Glendale Ave. The Prescription Drug Collection is free and open to all residents of Brown County. The event is confidential, and no identification is required. Simply drop and go!
