Don't Expect Driver or Jennings on Packers' 2013 Roster
We'd call this segment you asked for it, except you didn't. However, there are some Packer topics that seem to be of interest as of late.
For instance, if you asked me if Donald Driver is going to retire as a Packer, this off-season, I'd say yes. While it's likely he could sign with another team and play another season or so, me-thinks it's much more likely that Donald will pull the plug and call it a career.
When you think about, it's the best thing for all involved, and Donald's no body's fool.
If you asked me if Greg Jennings is going to leave in free agency, I'd answer with an "emphatic" yes. He happens to play a position where the Packers are blessed with an embarrassment of riches, and I think he's more than a little irked that the Packers haven't made a serious effort to re-sign him. It's hard not to take it personally when you're the person involved,
And finally, if you asked me if Dom Capers is going to be back as Defensive Coordinator, the answer is yes again. His unit did have a lousy game in San Francisco, but the season-long trend was one of improvement, from 32nd to 11th as a matter of fact, and that was with lots of injuries and lots of young guys playing. At the end of the day, he's also just a darn good coach.
