Getting beat by Adrian Peterson is one thing, getting beat by Christian Ponder and a receiving corp minus Percy Harvin is quite another, and that's the thing that stands out about yesterday's game.
Ponder came into it with a 15 game QB rating of less than 80, he came out of it at 120 plus. In the fourth quarter, how does Jarius Wright get behind Sam Shields for 65 yards, Ponder's longest completion of the season.
Later in the fourth, on third and 11, the Packers drop eight in zone coverage, and Ponder still finds Michael Jenkins wide open for 25 yards and a first. 5 plays later, the Vikings kicked the winning field goal.
As for Peterson's hand in the Packers' defeat, the Packers have to play their gaps and they have to tackle, and they did neither consistently. Don't get me wrong, Peterson's a phenomenal player, but you can't help him with lousy position or techniques.
That having been said, I thought BJ Raji was a force up front, and on the offensive side of the ball, Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley all stood out.
Marshall Newhouse also did a fine job on Jared Allen.
