The big Packer news dujour, Clay Matthews has already been ruled out of the Lions game. As for the Giants game and beyond, it's pretty much a week to week thing. Is Dezman Moses ready to start? We'll find out in the very near future.
You know, there was a column in today's paper that noted Mike McCarthy's rather stellar 70 percent winning percentage indoors. That's a far cry from Mike Holmgren's teams, who played sub five hundred ball when under a roof.
As with most things pro football, it all starts with the quarterback, and while Aaron Rodgers thrives indoors, Brett Favre did not, especially early in his career.
The thing was, the noise would get to Brett. He had a real problem with it and it wasn't solved until the Mike Sherman era. They finally outfitted Brett with some special ear plugs that kept the noise at a manageable level and that's when he started playing better at places like the Metrodome.
Of course the Packers are playing indoors this week and while the Lions haven't put it together, they ain't bad, especially up front defensively.
More about them on Friday.
